Do you play an instrument? Any instrument? Then audition for us!
Auditions for the 2019-2020 season will take place in the first week of the semester on September 7-8th. Please come prepared with a short solo piece (classical or non-classical) that shows off the best of your talents (3 min). You will also be asked to sight-read a brief excerpt from our concert repertoire, followed by an informal interview to get to know you better. The whole process is quick and easy, we promise!
Prospective members are encouraged to schedule for a 15-minute audition time slot at our table at Columbia's Annual Fall Activities Fair on Friday September 6th, 12-4PM, or sign up here!
If for any reason you cannot audition during the allocated times, simply email email@example.com and we will be happy to arrange an alternative time and date. And of course, one does not need to be a music major to audition. Our group represents a cross-section of many students, instrument families, personalities, and academic majors with one common goal: to engage ourselves and inspire our audience with dynamic, beautiful, and diverse music.
Missed Fall Auditions? No worries (but write it down)!
Auditions in the spring will take place the first week or two of school. Same process and rules as the fall, but, because Columbia has no Spring Activities Fair, please send us an email if you are interested in auditioning. We will use email and our Facebook page as the primary means of coordinating auditions.
